August 9, 2006 Council Meeting Minutes

           The Board of Council for the City of Central City, Kentucky met in regular session with Mayor Hugh W. Sweatt, Jr.
                presiding. City Attorney Russell L. Croley was present.

                PRAYER:  David Rhoades

 

                COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT:  Mike Jenkins, Jim Koper, Jerry Mitchell, David Richey, Barry Shaver, Stan
                Spence, Elizabeth Ann Gentry, and Joe Glenn Mitchell.

                COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT:  None

                MINUTES: 
                July 12, 2006 Regular Meeting Minutes
                A motion to accept the regular meeting minutes was made by Barry Shaver and was seconded by Mike Jenkins.
                Unanimous "aye" motion carried.

                  CORRESPONDENCE:  None

                 FINANCIAL REPORT: 
                 A motion to accept the July Financial Report was made by David Richey and was seconded by Jim Koper.
                 Unanimous "aye" motion carried.

                 AUGUST BILLS TO BE PAID:
                 A motion to accept the August Bills was made by Jerry Mitchell and was seconded by Joe Glenn Mitchell.
                 Unanimous "aye" motion carried.

                ADDITIONS/DELETIONS:  None

                AGENDA:
                A motion to adopt the agenda was made by David Richey and was seconded by Stan Spence.
                Unanimous "aye" motion carried.

                COMMITTEE REPORT:
                    1)  BUILDING INSPECTOR - There were 5 permits issued with a $412.20 rebate to the City.

                OLD BUSINESS: None

               NEW BUSINESS:
                    1)  A MUNICIPAL ORDER DECLARING CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF
              CENTRAL CITY AS SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING ITS DISPOSAL AUCTION 
                  
              City Attorney Russ Croley read Municipal Order #2006-12.  Jim Koper made a motion to accept Municipal Order
              #2006-12 and was seconded by Barry Shaver. Unanimous "aye" motion carried.

                    There being no further business, David Richey made a motion to adjourn. The motion was second by Jim Koper.
                    Unanimous "aye" motion carried.
